Kids Earthworm Workshop @ The Friendship Garden

  • The Friendship Garden Hurlbut Street Albany, NY, 12209 United States (map)

Do you know how cool earthworms are? Well, they are very cool! Kids find them to be so much fun, and super interesting! During this workshop we will do a few very cool things! First is actually to learn a little about what earthworms do, how they do it, and the kids will even get to “cook” for and feed the worms in a live working "worm farm" that houses hundreds of worms! This will introduce kids of all ages to the natural processes of decomposition that occur on our interesting and awesome planet Earth! We will go on a worm hunt using hand tools, "charm" worms out of the ground like magic (hopefully), and the kiddos will get to name pet worms and take some home to release into their yards, gardens, woods, or favorite parks!

No cost! Children under 7 must be supervised by a guardian, but we recommend guardians come as well!

The garden is on Hurlbut Street in Albany, NY. Here is a Google map pin (click here!)
